Rated 4 out of 5 by BHughes BEst thing I've found
my grandson started using the Panasonic EW-DS32-A and I'm very happy with the results compared to a normal toothbrush. it was the perfect size for me to handle to brush his teeth and the light was great to help see. although a little on the pricey side I would defintely purchase another for my other grandchild.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tennessee Savvy Saving Mama The perfect toothbrush for my little ones teeth!!!
My youngest daughter just started brushing her teeth not long ago and after a few months of using a standard toothbrush I found myself looking for a better toothbrush for her. The regular toothbrush was just not cutting it and I needed something that was much more effective and that got her attention and made brushing fun for her. Thats when I got the Panasonic EW-DS32-A Compact Battery-Powered toothbrush for kids. I was immediately drawn to to it because of its ergonomic design that would allow both her OR mommy and daddy to easily brush her teeth. Its just the right size and shape to fit her little hands without being too small for myself or my husband to hold as well. With this design the power/light is in a great spot to allow for easy use while brushing. The LED light is a fantastic idea, although I think that is more for the parents benefit at this stage, especially with my daughter. Its great to have that added light to help see in those hard to see places and its not too bright or overpowering, its the right amount of light. With the 12,000 brushstrokes per second this toothbrush offers, it provides my daughter with an effective, yet gentle clean on both her teeth and gums which reassures me that her teeth are really getting clean. I really like the sleek design of this toothbrush and just how portable it is. Just pop on the cap and throw it in your travel bag and you are ready to go! There are no exposed buttons that you need to worry about being accidentally turned on while travelling...its great! There are a couple of suggestions I have to improve this toothbrush. First, I would suggest offering more of a variety of colors for kids instead of just the basic blue for boys and pink for girls. Second, I feel that perhaps there should be another head size offered for older kids. The toothbrush head size was perfect for my 3 year old, but I felt it was too small for my 6 year old. This is definately a toothbrush I would also like my older daughter to use but this head is too small for her. Lastly, I think that a 2 minute timed brushing feature on this toothbrush would be beneficial, especially for the younger children to help teach them accurate brushing times. Overall I am very satisfied with this product and definately recommend it to anyone with young children who are just starting to brush their teeth as well as children a bit older who want a "big person" toothbrush like mommy and daddy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by olga My daughter just started brushing her teeth and is surprisingly enthusiastic about it. When I saw the Panasonic EW-DS32-A Compact Battery-Operated Toothbrush, I thought it might make a fun addition to her brushing, and it largely has.I also like that it's very small and light, so that it's easy to maneuver. Larger toothbrushes often require that you get them into the kid's mouth, then shift your grip to be comfortable, but you can hold this one like a pencil or pen.Panasonic's battery toothbrush for children is a great first-time electric toothbrush for little ones. It has a very small brush head, which makes getting down to brush the sides of the back teeth so much easier than with Sonicare or those chunky disposable kids electric toothbrushes. The sonic vibration is effective but not overpowering, much gentler than with Sonicare, and in my opinion, just right for getting little ones used to a sonic toothbrush without overwhelming them. The tiny light works decently for seeing to brush back teeth if your bathroom isn't lighted well enough, and I also love the cap, which keeps the brush clean whether traveling or at home, and the fact that it runs on a single AAA battery for months at a time.
The vibrations are quite gentle, perfect for a small child. The built-in light seems like a nice touch, but it's kind of useless for her (other than for doubling as a single-LED flashlight#. I'm not sure if it actually is getting the teeth any cleaner #probably does in the spots between teeth), but I can say that she spends more time with it, which is good. The toothbrush head can be removed and replaced, which I love.
The only con I can think of is that the battery compartment seems far too easy to open. She can get the battery covers off of remote controls and things of that nature, and this is easier than most of those.Another thing I definitely don't like about this toothbrush is that it's missing a timed auto off feature, which is pretty important for kids learning to brush on their own. Otherwise, however, I think it's a wonderful first sonic toothbrush, and definitely recommend it for little ones not yet big enough for a Sonicare for Kids. Also I will be added the color of Toothbrush and style so the kids can choose which one they like better. And also deffinetly add changing head feature.
