I have now owned this razor for more than 2 years and have yet to need to replace the foil. In contrast to other folks, it has not had any issues so far. This review is ONLY for the foil. I do not protect it in any way, I throw the razor in the drawer with everything else and nothing has gone wrong yet. No holes at all.

Top foil unit is very delicate and damages easily. I have ordered multiple replacements.
I will probably buy another brand when it is time to replace after owning only Panasonic products for 20 years.
