Reviews

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by 4.9 Star rating This is our first massaging chair and we love it! We(my wife and I) should have bought one of these a long time ago. Does an excellent job on the entire back...sometimes a little strong even on the lowest setting. I like the airbag feature, except on the waist. I have a size 30 waist and it doesn't inflate enough for me. The airbags for the arms and feet are perfect for me...not my wife. Her calves are bigger than mine and they squeeze too hard for her. But, on this chair the legs section flips over so you can use the chair without the leg section. Great feature! Why 4.9? Doesn't really do the neck area, probably more of a legal issue(if it squeezed too hard you would get hurt). On sale this is a great investment you will use almost every day. Just read some of the other reviews of people who have had this chair for awhile. You will notice a common theme...complete satisfaction! December 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth every penny My wife has become perminently disabled due to 30+ years of typing and requiring daily theropy on upper back muscles, arms and wrists. This chair takes care of all of that and more. Very impressed with the pressure of the arm and wrist massage and the ability the chair has to remember your comfort positions. This item wsa worth every penny but I recommend that you white glove it as it needs to be put together which did come with purchase and the person who put it together was familiar with the product and even showed my wife how to use it. Very impressive! December 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic chair. First one so really don't have anything to compare it to. Very therapeutic. December 17, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Could be much better First of all, I am going to repeat some of the previous comments. But, hopefully, this will simply stress the issues and will help others decide if this is a good purchase. Like another reviewer, I am a big fan of Panasonic brand and have a lot of their products. They are always high quality and have nice features. Thus, I decided to buy this (quite expensive) massage chair. I read about some negatives of the chair but thought they would not be that of an issue, but I think I was wrong. The chair is very nice looking, very sturdy (and very heavy!). The massage is very deep. The heated rollers are nice. On the negative side... I am 6' 2" and I have some issues with chair. The rollers cover my back just fine from very bottom up to my head. However, there are two major issues. 1. The extendable foot massage section has too much resistance. During the massage I constantly have to push it out because it returns to the original position. Especially during movement (e.g., stretching the legs) it is hard to keep it extended. The MA73 model seems to have fixed this with having 40% less resistance but how difficult is it to change in MA70? Just a different set of springs. But Panasonic keeps selling this model with these very rigid springs still. 2. There is no way to get neck massage while using the pillow. Like one other reviewer mentioned, no matter how you put the pillow (I tried the recommended way and higher), the rollers do not reach the neck. The neck is just too far for rollers to reach it when the head is on the pillow. They are massaging the air behind my neck. When I remove the pillow, the rollers do reach the neck, however the head is in such an awkward and uncomfortable position that it hurts after some time. I may try to experiment with a towel instead of a pillow, but I don't understand how Panasonic didn't see this issue. If they recommend to use the pillow (with lower end being at the level of the ears), they must program the rollers to extend farther. By the way, the issue is not just because I am tall. My wife is significantly shorter and the rollers do not touch her neck either. And neck is a very important part of the massage for us. The other areas for improvement are 3. The sole massage is just a plate with 3 pins. I wish they put rollers to massage the sole as many other (company) chairs have. 4. Hand massage is simply inflation of a single airbag under your arm. Could be several airbags alternating the inflation (supposedly MA73 has better hand massage) to improve massage experience. 5. Massage head positions cannot be stored as user preference. I don't know if I would recommend this chair to a person taller than 6'. December 15, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tips to use this massage chair I have been a big Panasonic fan because all the Panasonic products I have bought runs like new and last forever. Owning a massage chair has been a dream for years. Through years of research, Panasonic has always produced some of the best massage chair in the market. And I would love to own a Panasonic because I have always trusted this brand especially for a big ticket item. Thus it did not take me long to pull the plug when I saw the EP-MA70KX on sale. I live on the 2nd floor, so having free white glove delivery is a big plus when buying it directly from Panasonic. When the massage chair was delivered, I immediately tested it out. After a few sessions, I was pretty afraid because I was agreeing with other reviewers that the massage chair is too intense even at the lowest setting. This comes from a person that likes deep massages. With Panasonic's reputation with its massage chair, I doubt they would get this wrong. Well since it felt too intense, so I tried to put a towel over the back cushion to see if that would help. It helped tremendously! The drawback is you will not feel the heat though. The main factor is I am almost 6 feet tall, and that is probably the limit of this chair. On the first day, I was sitting too upright and all the way back. So that positioned the roller to rub against my pelvic bone which hurt. Sitting too upright would also cause the massages on my shoulder to be too intense. So if you are 6 feet tall, relax and slouch slightly. After adjusting the sitting position, I started enjoying the massage chair. In no time, I removed the towel so I can feel the heat on the roller. As mentioned I like deep massages, now I usually set the intensity to the highest without any problem at all. Lastly I really have a difficult time picking a favorite massage program. I like one mode more one day, next day I like the other. If I have to, I will say I always like "Deep" and "Lower Back". Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. It is a Panasonic which in my dictionary is a big plus because I can enjoy it for years to come. I do not write review, this product do not have that many reviews out there. Maybe this will help someone. Thanks. December 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth the wait I have been looking for this model in Hawaii a loooong time. I tested it over a year ago, but waited to buy. When I was ready to buy, no one had it locally and no one would ship it to Hawaii. Got an awesome deal at Thanksgiving and free shipping. I love the stretching motion, as well as the other massaging techniques. It's perfect for my tough body and adjustable for my adult daughter's tender skin. This is my fourth Panasonic massage chair. Totally great. December 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Much better than expected! Fantastic functions and powerful massage strength. Much better than expected. Fast delivery, too! Made great smiles to my wife and mother-in-law. December 10, 2015
