Features

Inverter Technology

Panasonic Inverter Technology perfects the art of cooking with microwave ovens, delivering delicious flavor, excellent color, and superb shape and texture in the foods you cook. The consistent delivery of microwave energy means delicate foods can simmer without the edges and surfaces overcooking. Foods have the look and taste of conventional-oven cooking without the wait!

Inverter Turbo Defrost™

Panasonic has succeeded in evolving the Turbo Defrost™, which allows you to defrost foods even faster than previous Panasonic Auto Defrost. Panasonic inverter Turbo Defrost technology is ad advanced microwave sequencing system using the inverter continuous-power delivery feature.

Menu Action Screen (multi-lingual)

The Menu Action Screen is like having a chef to assist you in the kitchen. It scrolls step-by-step cooking instructions across the display, in a choice of English, Spanish, or French.

One-Touch Sensor Cook and Reheat

The Sensor adjusts power levels and calculates cooking and reheating times automatically for various food types.

Blue LED Display

4-digit neon blue LED display provides a high-end look that complements any kitchen décor.

Pop-Out Dial

With a spin of the dial, the easy-to-use pop-out dial is a departure from the standard keypad found on most microwave ovens.

Keep Warm Feature

A pulsing delivery of very low microwave power keeps food temperatures at a constant level without overcooking. So, foods like stew, gravy and desserts remain warm in the oven until ready to serve.

Elegant Design with Push-Button Door Release and Stainless Steel Front

Elegant, attractive and easy-to-open, the microwave will look its best even when preparing some of the messiest recipes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal Replacement When my old Panasonic microwave failed, I went on the website and to search for a replacement. A customer service rep. (Jessica) came on and asked if she could help me. I told her the model that I wanted to replace and my current needs and she was able to suggest a very suitable replacement and I received it and am very happy with it. The price was reasonable and the shipping was fast.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad buy at Costco This unit quit working within 8 months and it will cost more to repair it than to replace it- but replace it I will---with another brand

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product at a great price We bought this microwave at the Panasonic site. Online sales folks were very nice and very helpful. Shipment arrived in a very short time and in excellent condition. The unit works exactly as advertised. If you have never tried the inverter technology, you won't believe the difference. Sensor cooking and reheating works perfectly. Haven't tried the defrost yet; we will see how that works, but I suspect it will also do what it says it will do. Highly recommended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not durable at all I bought this NN 681ST ,1.2 cubic ft 1200w 2015 (last year) May, this year Aug.,(just over one year warranty),it is dead. Not heating, not cooking ,nothing works period .Previously I had 2 Panasonic products ,they were not as good as I thought either .So I won't recommend this product to anybody.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average Quality Thought I'd spend a little extra and get a few bells and whistles. It did a decent job, but couldn't hold up to extremely light use. Less than 3 years later (1 of those years unused while out of the country) with it's primary job to make occasional microwave popcorn it sits dead on the countertop. sigh. To be fair, I did find some of the features to be useful. I'm just disappointed that it didn't last as long as the old cheap college microwaves that I've owned in the past.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Microwave for it's size First , I have a light inside my microwave. Don't know why others don't? Too bad you can't get a bigger microwave with all the bells and whistles. Small kitchen perhaps? I have a small house with a small kitchen. So, I am not able to get a large/normal size microwave. This is by far the best microwave around for its size. I had a Panasonic microwave prior to this one that lasted 10 yrs. My husband broke it or it would still be working I am sure. Very glad to see Panasonic is still such a great company. My favorite for a lot of things. I always check to see if I can get what I want in the panasonic brand before any others. I have had this microwave for a couple of years and still looks and works like new. And it is used a few times a day. Thank You! Panasonic.
