Bought 2 of these in early 2012. I gave one to my mother for use in her home in Mississippi. It's not feature laden. But, has on board tools and a 50' cord with 3 prong plug. As a rule I'm picky about cord length. y criteria is 20 foot #minimum# for a canister. And a 35 foot cord for an upright. I'm the type who likes to find a centralized receptacle, and vacuum without changing receptacles. The standard U3/U6 bag is average for filtration. But, higher filtration bags are available. Panasonic has used these type vacuum bags for years. So, they're commonly available

This vacuum tips backwards very easily and often, the plastic, flip up cap meant to allow access to clean out any clogs broke off and apart within the first two weeks because the machine tips so easily. The cord is very long but ridiculously difficult to handle. I have to drape it around my shoulders and neck to keep it from getting under the vacuum while using. It happened anyway and I had to cut the cord apart and repair it. Oh, well, at least I learned a new useful skill. This vac does have decently powerful suction though-but so do a lot of other much easier to handle vacuum cleaners.

I replaced a 30+ year old Panasonic Commercial Vacuum with this cleaner. Very similar in many ways. The old one did not have the tools attached - love this feature! Suction is great! My hubby thinks the new one is lighter :)

I have purchased at least five panasonic vacumms over the 27 years I have been cleaning. This model was very poor. I have used a model 215 for 9 years and it is still going. This model is junk. Very poor suctIon.
