WhisperCeiling FV-15VQ5 150 CFM, Ceiling Mount Fan

The workhorse of the Panasonic line, WhisperCeiling™ is time-tested and customer approved for its quiet, yet powerful consistency. Rated for continuous use, WhisperCeiling vent fans are a simple way to incorporate an energy efficient ventilation strategy, and are a great choice for new and remodel residential applications.

We Set the Standard for Quiet Operation

WhisperCeiling fans feature a totally enclosed condenser AC motor and a double-tapered blower wheel to quietly move air-even at twice the static pressure as the industry standard. WhisperCeiling exceeds the performance measurement for ASHRAE 62.2, ENERGY STAR® 3.0, and LEED for Homes.

Long Life Means Reduced Costs

When you have a household or business to run, you don't want to have to replace little things like a vent fan. Panasonic fans use less energy to move larger volumes of air than other brands. Consequently, Panasonic fans run cooler so they last longer. They are also much less likely to overheat and result in motor failure. The motor is also equipped with a thermal-cutoff fuse.

Installation Flexibility

The double hanger-bar system (expandable up to 24 in.) is ideal for positioning the fan exactly where you want it. Panasonic fans are UL listed for tub/shower enclosure (just install them on a GFCI-protected circuit).

ENERGY STAR® Certified for Energy Savings

Panasonic ventilation fans are ENERGY STAR® certified, where guidelines exist. ENERGY STAR® vent fans meet strict parameters set by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). They provide better efficiency and comfort with less noise, and feature high performance motors and improved blade design, providing better performance and longer life.

Reviews

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by 10 second delay Panasonic does not tell anyone there is a 10 second delay before this fan starts. They don't tell you there is no bypass for this delay. When you have it installed or do it yourself, you think you must have wired it wrong. If you don't use the two additional features, i.e. night light and motion detector, cap the two red wires off separately and wire white to white and black to black. I had to have an electrician come out, and the only way he discovered the fan could work is to leave it on long enough for the delay to pass. NOT telling consumers about these steps in the instructions or online is unacceptable. March 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Agree with others Once installed its a great fan, but I too did a retrofit in the attic and its not at all clear in the instructions. Took a long time to install, but once there it is a great unit. December 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Fan!! I bought this fan to exhaust "smoke" from my bathroom in the Winter. I bought this one, which is way overkill for the size of my bathroom, to make sure it was quick and efficient. It exceeds my expectations. This fan is extremely quiet and will leave NO fog on my mirror after a very hot shower.I also bought the decoritive cover for it and I am very pleased with the way it looks. I plan on buying a smaller version for my other bathroom. It was very dificult to install, the directions were not very clear for a "retro" type install. It took me a very long time because I was in a very small space in the attic and I was "retro" fitting and did not want to cut more drywall than I needed to so I didnt have to do more repairs. I didnt have to do electrical work because I already had a circuit from a previous light in the area before my remodel. February 6, 2013
