Rated 3 out of 5 by Confusing Useless Interface When I want to use cool new features on a microwave or any product, I don't want to have to search the manual on how to do so. This product is so confusing, the icons for cooking, defrosting, warming, etc... don't make any sense. You must keep the manual in hand in order to figure out what you are doing. Panasonic if you are going to make a touch screen interface which is high tech, at least have a high tech screen so you can figure out what you are doing. Your simple blue led read out does not give any instruction on what you are doing in correlation with the buttons. March 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Smart buy! I'm so happy with this microwave. I used it to soften butter and it didn't melt at all. Also made hard brown sugar soft with ease! Most impressive was reheating a full plate of chicken scarp and there were no cold spots and it did not over cook the chicken. I am thrilled with this product. Only thing I must refer to the quick tips to do certain things but that's just a learning curve. December 24, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Design I have always owned Panasonic Microwaves, I think they are the best. Purchased this after my six year old one had door problems. There are 3 things that critical to me 1) Setting the power level easily 2) Setting cooking time easily 3) Having my meal heated evenly Unfortunately this model got all 3 of them wrong. Setting the time was so easy with the knob on my old model. Bought it thinking that Cyclonic Wave will help in the cooking process, but the the first two spoons of my soup is great and cold afterwards. Similar with everything else not evenly cooked December 9, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great cooker Lousy Graphics The unit performs great and is a lot quieter than the 1100 watt Panasonic we replaced. My only dislike is the graphics on the key pad. They make no sense to us over 40 & 50 & 60 crowd. You also need a holder on the side of the unit to hold the instruction manual as I need it a lot to translate the key pad buttons. I like Panasonic products for their quality and will buy other products in the future. January 2, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Gorgeous oven Control panel is beautiful. Completely unusable but beautiful. Panasonic's site said "in stock" and arrived 3 weeks later. Finally got it installed and it lasted about a week... then dead. It was plugged into a good surge suppressor. 1 out of 1 is not statistically significant but this oven was 3 times the price of the version at Costco and I can't see why. I had to pay it because I needed an oven with a built-in it. Kind of sorry I didn't just put a cheepie on the counter top. I have used Panasonic microwaves for over 20 years and don't think I'll use anything else but I will never spend this kind of money again on one. September 8, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by works well but with some flaws I have it for less then a month and I can say that it does a very good job at heating/defrosting evenly. Haven't used it for cooking though. One major inconvenience that I didn't expect is that a few minutes after using it it goes into some sort of power saving mode where all buttons turn off and become unresponsive. The only way of "waking" it is by opening the door which is very annoying. Suppose I want to use the timer function - why would I have to open and then close the door? Almost made me return it but I considered it's just too much of a hassle. Another thing that I don't appreciate is that it's loud - both the fan and the door. How come 40 years after microwave ovens came out they still have these primitive doors that slam shut with so much noise ? Most of us use them in the morning when family members might still be sleeping. overall it works well with the mentioned shortcomings expected better functionality and more refinement at this price October 1, 2015
