Rated 2 out of 5 by wooster Who builds electronic without a timer anymore?
Big buttons are nice and easy to understand. However, wish the significant other viewed the specs to realize there is no ability to schedule the cooking time to have the food ready by a certain time. We haven't used it and will probably give it away to a friend as a present now. Not sure if they will like it due to no timing, but we know we won't.

I was looking for a rice cooker that can make porridge and this one exactly satisfied my need. Very easy to use and non-stick. The only thing is that the inner lid is not removable for cleaning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer I usually make rice every other day and I often try different kinds of rice with different cooking methods. And all I can say about this rice cooker is that it's just excellent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by RT Inexpensive best alternative to the other brand w a Z . Bought for daughter in college /first apartment - just the right size - best part she's able to cook porridge and no need to stand in front of stove stirring . Been using rice cooker for long time so didn't bother reading the manual and first time heard the clicking sound - checked troubleshooting page and learned it's normal - rice came out fine so all is good .

To whom it may cocern at Panasonic Comapny
The fuzzy rice cooker is bad.
The rice cooker turns the rice smells bad in just one day.
The condensed water drips back into the rice causing it bad.
I had Panasonic rice cookers before. They were great. That was why I trusted Panasonic rice cookers and bought a panasonic fuzzy rice cooker recently.
However, it shocks me when I put this new rice cooker to use. It turns out to my surprise, it is a bad one from Panasonic!
I have tried everything in different ways to cook and to keep the rice from spoiledge but all my efforts failed.
Now I can't use it to cook and keep my rice on regular rice cooking need. Now what am I going to do with it?
I think this type of rice cookers should not be offered to consummers any where in the world, because they will give the consummers bad experiences with them; and hence, they would severely damage Panasonic rice cooking produts' reputation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Arkadhia Sleek Styling Offset by Black Utility Cord
Sleek gloss white shell is uglyified by a very utilitarian black electrical cord. Hinged lid opens and closes nicely. Water level graduations on the non-stick pan are difficult to read in all but the most direct light. For me the thing takes up more counter space than desirable at 14" deep x 9-1/2" wide x 7-3/4". The size is reasonable though if one needs to make 5 cups of rice day in and day out. My rice making needs are more modest than that and probably will not use the steamer function. For my daily use I really have capacity overkill.
One more observation on the unit's construction concerns the flexible membrane function buttons. I have to wonder how ware resistant over time and use they will be. Likely not an issue with my expected usage of once or twice a week though.
Have yet to reconcile the conflicting proportions (rice to water) recommend in the instruction booklet with those on the unit itself. Trial & error and guesstimating, using one of the instructions as a departure point, will eventually get you some rice that is not too hard or soggy. Be patient with your experimentation because long grain white rice takes 38 minutes to cook. Once cooking is complete the machine shifts to warming mode. Too long on warm mode however, rice will brown at the pan's bottom.
