Features

DECT 6.0 PLUS

Dect Plus technology takes the superb sound quality and outstanding range of DECT 6.0 phones to a whole new level. By increasing the frequency of error correction by up to 80x, the transmission quality is improved and the phone's range is extended. Engineered to work in 1.9GHz frequency, our DECT 6.0 phones won't conflict with common wireless devices such as 2.4GHz routers, wireless keyboards and mice, microwave ovens and other household items. And because it's digital, you'll enjoy long range and clear sound while deterring eavesdropping.

Link2Cell

Link2Cell is a cordless phone system that operates together with your cell phone. Simply charge your cell phone through the USB port on the Panasonic base unit and sync the four cell phones via Bluetooth. Now you're ready to make and receive cell calls that are automatically routed through all your home phone handsets. Which means there's no need to carry your cell phone around your home.

USB Charge

No convenient electrical outlet for charging your cell phone or smart phone? No problem. The base unit features a convenient USB charging port. And because it's Link2Cell, you can answer your cell phone calls on your Panasonic home phone handsets without draining your cell phone battery.

Text Message (SMS) Alert

Never miss a text message again. The Text Message Alert feature notifies you of received text message on your cell phone through an alert on your cordless handset when your cell phone is synced to the base unit.

Advanced Answering Machine Functions

Panasonic keeps you in touch with Advanced Answering Device Functions with this model. Enjoy two answering machines so you can separate your work life from your home life. Now you can be alerted to recorded messages whether you're at home or on the road. When a caller records a message, the base unit will beep alerting those in the house. Not at home? The phone will automatically send a message to a registered cell or office phone along with playback options.

TALKING CALLER ID

Now you can hear who's calling from across the room without having to get up. Using text-to-speech technology, Panasonic phones featuring Talking Caller ID announce caller ID information in between rings. What could be more convenient?

Power Back-Up Operation (Handset)

What happens to your phone when there's a power outage? Nothing, with this model featuring Power Back-Up Operation. A powerful battery back-up system keeps you connected when the power goes out. Keep a charged handset in the base unit and you can still make and receive calls with the other cordless handsets.

Reviews

KX-TG954 is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 36.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with the purchase thus far. Phone was easy to set up and connect multiple other lines to. Only thing I don't like is the range on the Bluetooth, its gets scratchy for the person on the other end if you get to far away. The ringer is a nice volume so we can hear it across our shop. As well as the caller ID function telling you who is calling. Otherwise ease of use is great for us. Thanks. It was the only set I could find that would connect Bluetooth headsets and have a 2-Line system going along with 6 handsets+. Very happy to have found it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most feature-laden 2 line phone out there I've had this phone for several years and it has the most features of any 2 line phone I've seen. While the menus are a bit cumbersome, the manual is pretty well written to figure out the various options. I've had no problems and I have my cell and Bluetooth headset hooked up to the phone and they work great. I have a home line and business line also connected and am very happy with the reception and call clarity.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a phone The phone is pretty easy to use. The lack of hold button is a little irritating, having to press menu then down then hold then select. Not good for fast pace working. The hold music is absolutely horrible. Couldn't figure out how to change it, finally decided to chat with someone online and she resolved it pretty quickly and easily. Overall it's not that bad, it works :)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from NO HOLD BUTTON - SERIOUSLY??? Our business has used a Panasonic system for a number of years, & we choose this one to upgrade to this model. I am shocked that there is no dedicated HOLD button on the handset & that you must file through the Menu to find it. At least you could have made HOLD the first option you see instead of searching the options. Definitely not user friendly in an office environment Also not being able to change ring styles is frustrating. Not what expected from upgrading to what I thought would be better features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Link2Cell feature I am a manufacturer's rep that works out of my home. I am in the office one day a week and on the road the rest of the time. I sometimes missed messages with my old system or had to remember to call in and get messages. Not anymore! With the easy to set up, Link2Cell feature, after 2 rings in the office, calls automatically forward to my cell and I never miss a call now. Absolutely love this feature. I will never have another phone without it! I had a minor issue with the display, went online to find the answer, had a customer service pop up that asked if I had questions/issues, said yes and within three messages back and forth, issue solved! Saved me a TON of time trying to figure it out or waiting on hold for help. Love this phone and service!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from NO HOLD BUTTON ON HANDSET I can't believe it has a noise reduction button where the HOLD button belongs. Great base station and answer machines. i use it with a headset instead of the handset but when on the handset and line 2 rings try fumbling thru a menu to get to a hold selection. Even a soft HOLD selection in the window which popped up when on an active call would be better then a MENU. By the time you find HOLD, the line stopped ringing or you accidentally hang up on the line you originally used. Imagine putting a NOISE REDUCTION button in place of HOLD. Let the NOISE REDUCTION go to menu selection. This is probably my 4th or 5th panasonic 2 line phone, great base but the handset needs a quick action HOLD button.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from KX-TG9543B disappointment Since our prior system was satisfactory until it, uh, wore out... we purchased another 2-line from Panasonic. ISSUES, however, have marred the experience. The 1st two items were not the case with the older system: 1 - Dial tone and tones for number input too loud! 2 - Unable to switch to spkr with headphone on / have to unplug it! 3 - Handset on base - went totally dead upon removal - - this happened on a separate charger as well . . . and then it quit doing this! (Just hate when stuff does this!) Otherwise, the system is easy to operate, although being more menu-driven requires some getting used to, and battery life is exceptional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Well Using it with 8 extension in 3 story home, with two extenders. One hard line and one vonage line. Easy to set up. Easy to use. Call blocking, intercom, and call announcing all work well.

  • Why do I hear a series of beeps before my dial tone?
If your dial tone is interrupted by several short gaps or beeps your phone company is indicating the arrival of a new voice mail message.
