Achieving F1.7 high-speed aperture, the LUMIX G 25mm / F1.7 ASPH. keeps its size compact and weight light. Rated 5 out of 5 by OCOS Awesome gem! Enhanced my creativity! I got this one during the rebate period so it was very inexpensive. I had adapted legacy lens 28 f/2.8 / manual focul and was looking for and equivalent native lens and the panasonic 20 f/1.7 was too wide for me and the 25 f/1.4.... well... too expensive for my use so I was very happy to get my and on this one. I have no complains till now, the lens works like a charm, the minimum focus distance allows for a better background separation even with f/1.7 max aperture. All in all, a great lens with very good performances! February 18, 2016

Can't be happier with the huge improvement with indoor shots compared to the kit 14-45mm lens. I spent a lot of time comparing with the 20mm/F1.7 pancake, which was the go-to prime lens before this one came out. With similar price one of the deciding factor for me was the quality around the edge of the image, which is noticable improved from 20mm/F1.7. Even though it's not a pancake lens, the size is actually perfect to hold comfortable in hand when swapping without the worry of it slipping off my hand. It had become the main lens on my camera even since. February 18, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Andy Best value for a fast prime Picked one up when it was just released at a discount price. I took quite a few picture during my trip to NYC right after that. The night shots at Time Square and indoor pictures from the Metropolitan museum were greatly improved in sharpness and color compared to the small aperture kit lens. I don't own the 20mm/F.17 pancake lens so I can't compare the picture quality of these two, but I would probably still get the pancake if the prices are the same due to its history of rave reviews and smaller size. But this lens looks appropriate on my G5 and discounted price was a steal. Only complain I have is its plastic exterior feels cheap. I also have the 35mm-100mm compact zoom lens, which has metal finish that feels top quality at the first touch. November 18, 2015
