The Panasonic 45-200mm f/4-5.6 G Vario MEGA O.I.S. Lens is an interchangeable long telephoto zoom lens, developed by Leica exclusively for Panasonic Lumix digital micro four-thirds cameras. It follows the ultra-compact Micro Four Thirds Standard, which also makes it compatible with other brands that use this same format. The focal length of this lens is equivalent to approximately 90-400mm in 35mm format terms.
By incorporating the MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) feature and 3 ED elements, this lens makes it possible to capture clear, sharp images, edge to edge, even in macro shooting or low-lit situations. This provides users with a wide range of shooting flexibility.
Note: Since the Four Thirds camera body has a longer flange back length than the Micro Four Thirds camera body, Micro Four Thirds lenses cannot be mounted on Four Thirds camera bodies.
ED Glass
Three ED (extra-low dispersion) elements help the lens meet Leica's extremely high optical performance standards. They help capture images that are clear from corner to corner across the entire zoom range, with minimal distortion.
Multi-Coated
Multi-coated lens elements reduce ghosting and flare to an absolute minimum, enabling the lens to deliver an optical performance that meets Leica's lofty standards.
Circular Aperture
7-blade circular aperture diaphragm produces pleasant out-of-focus characteristics
Micro Four Thirds Lens Mount
Use of the Micro Four Thirds Standard means that this lens can also be used with other manufacturers that have adopted this digital camera standard

I've had this lens ever since I bought my G3 in 2011, and I have to say it is on my camera 99% of the time. I take a lot of close up pictures of flowers and love the quality I get out of it. The only time I take it off is when I am doing a landscape shot and that is when the 14-42 comes out of the bag. Love this lens.

Such a handy lens, especially considering how much this would weigh/cost on a full-frame system! This is definitely showing one advantage of the micro 4/3 system - cramming a great little telephoto zoom into a small package like this.

I use this lens on my GH4 and love it. It performs well outdoors but not so great in low light situations. For the price this is a feature rich lens that is stellar in performance. When shooting longer focal distances, I do recommend using a tripod as the longer focal lengths will exhibit shake in the images.

Using this on my New GH4 its a great outdoor lens. Images are crisp and very sharp. Colors are vibrant and great. Indoor use is ok but in low light situations it's not superb. But stick to using it outdoors and it performs well.
