    DMC-TS30 is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not handle brightness I did a lot of research before I purchased this camera - specifically for a trip of a lifetime. I am so disappointed in the photos, they were all over exposed, and have not captured the detail. Price was not really an issue, it was looking for the best product for our location - backpacking to Havasu Falls, we really wanted to capture the beautiful waterfalls and bright blue rivers and pools. This was ALL lost. So bummed out, this is a trip that you only get to do once, maybe twice if you are lucky. DON'T BUY.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This is my EDC camera when I go motorcycling. Takes decent photos except if any sun is hitting the lens. Tough and will take lots of pictures on a single charge. Not a SLR but for the price a very good camera I can depend on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 6 years and still my favourite I bought a TS2 6 years ago and it is still my favourite and go-to camera. I got it to go SCUBA diving with (it goes 33m) but it also takes great images of my art work for quick and easy documentation. My father, was a serious hobby photographer and taught me that a good lens is key to a good camera. Leica makes one of the best lenses out there, so the combination of Lumix + Leica is a very good, reasonably priced camera. I keep thinking maybe a should get a an upgrade, but honestly, there is no reason to do that if my current one works great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Underwater Rendition I bought this camera for a vacation in Hawaii and specifically for snorkeling. WOW! is all I can say. It performed extremely well and some of the fish pictures are spectacular. If there was a way to post a picture, one might see what I mean. The only criticism I might have are the controls. They could be just slightly larger for underwater use but then I think about those expensive enclosures for regular cameras with big controls and this becomes the unit of choice for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Travel Camera I bought this camera a couple years ago to use for travel. It's great for those trips in and around the water. It has been a smart purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mine has never let me down You get a camera like this even if you don't plan on scuba diving, taking it skiing or dropping it often. You get it because you figure if it's designed to endure those things, it'll endure the occasional bump and dusty bag or linty pocket. And mine has. I've shot with my version of this camera (a slightly older model) in rain, on hot days and outside during the 2016 blizzard my part of the USA's East Coast got this year. It has a great variety of settings but I've been happy shooting it on Intelligent Auto about 95 percent of the time. The images are consistently sharp enough to shame the most high end smart phone's and I've never been a technical glitch. A great camera that I recommend to all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best camera ever I now own 2 of these and purchased one for my nieces. I had one and dropped it in the deep snow while out with my son. It stayed out there for 3 months thru winter in freezing temperatures. I ended up buying a new one because I figured if and when we found it, there was no way it would work. Come spring time we found the camera and it still works great. I couldn't believe it. I use this camera constantly. Waterskiing, snowmobiling, snorkeling, dusty grass drag races, and never have an issue. We love it and recommend it to everyone.

    • How long should my battery last?
CIPA figures which range from 300-400 photos (depending on the camera model). CIPA measurement methods use a very controlled method to measure battery life. The procedure takes a specific number of shots at a fixed interval, with a fixed ratio of flash photos. While this method provides a standardized measurement that can be used to compare two cameras, it's far from how the camera is actually used. Life expectancy can be affected by any of the following: If the flash is used, the total number of photos can decrease by 30-40% If the camera has GPS, you can expect up to a 50% reduction in battery life. If the customer has no immediate need for GPS disable the feature in the camera's menu options. While the battery saver feature will turn the LCD panel off after a preset time (and place the camera into sleep mode) the camera still draws some power from the battery. We suggestion, turn the camera after each shot. At social gatherings, try and minimize passing the camera around the table to have others look at the photos. The LCD panel consumes ~30% of the total power.

    • What size SD Card can I use in my camera?
Cameras with a manufacturing date of 2006 or before can only use Standard SD Cards (2GB Max).  Models manufactured from 2007 to 2009 can only use Standard SD Cards and SDHC Cards (32GB Max).  Cameras manufactured 2010 and later are also compatible to the SDXC memory card format. While your camera?s owner?s manual may state a maximum size, that size was the largest that was available when your camera was manufactured. Any currently available SDXC card, which will eventually increase to maximum of 2 TB is compatible. As the maximum size increases, to 2 TB, we do not anticipate any need for firmware updates.

    • Why am I unable to view the photos on my camera after I have deleted some files from the SD card using the computer?
It is not recommended that you delete or modify any photos on your SD memory card using your PC if you plan to move them back to the camera. Doing so can damage the file allocation table and your camera will not be able to read the files. You should immediately copy the remaining photos from your SD card to your PC. After doing so, using your camera, reformat the SD card.
