Rated 3 out of 5 by from Without a doubt the least user friendly software I've used a couple of other BD players with streaming before and this is the least user friendly software/navigation I've seen. The product freezes in mid navigation causing me to pull the plug to get it to reset -- and this isn't occasionally. Also, the connection to the Amazon app requires you to click on it twice to get it to connect whereas the other apps just require one click. If I close the BD player down while watching one of the apps, the unit doesn't reset itself when it is brought back up, instead it requires you to backtrack down the structure to get to another app or function. And, yes, I have updated the unit to whatever software level is current.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Primarily Positive Product Choice The purchase and shipping was timely although I have a particular peeve about delivery companies who leave my product outside my door without knocking so that anyone walking by can steal it. Especially when the product is shipped in it's own box for all the world to see what it is. To accompany a recent television upgrade, three things influenced my choice in selecting this model; I needed a new Blu-ray player that has 3D capability, this model offers 4K upscaling and the convenience & versatility of Twin HDMI outputs. The device is thin, sleek, and looks good in the entertainment center. The opening menu is self explanatory enough. I very much like the clarity of the picture when the 4K upscaling is in effect during a Full HD Blu-ray playback. I look forward to revisiting some of my other Blu-ray titles with this capability. I have not yet utilized some of the features such as picture viewing or music playback so I cannot comment on these features. The Wi-Fi connected seamlessly with my network. This is truly a golden age. There were only a few issues that I did find as personal nuisances in regard to this player. While having a small remote can seem advantageous, there is a point to where it can become too small. The buttons on the provided remote can tend to be too close to one another to the point where it can cause a user to inadvertently press a button other than the one intended. This is especially true for the dedicated “Netflix” button which is located directly above the “Up” navigation button. Many times I have been interrupted during a process when attempting to navigate only to be unexpectedly thrown onto the Netflix app. This is of particular nuisance to me as the “Netflix” button’s existence is completely unnecessary to me as I do not even use Netflix. A couple of other minor disappointments is that unlike my previous Panasonic Blu-ray unit (DMP-BD70V), which this purchase is replacing, this unit’s remote is not capable of controlling any TV other than a Panasonic brand. In my own personal experience, this unit’s ability to utilize an HDMI link control with my particular new TV is limited and not fully compatible, unlike my previous Panasonic Blu-ray. I have noticed that the playback of DVDs appears to be less clear and less impressive than was the case on my previous Panasonic Blu-ray player. Unfortunately, the versatility of playback settings for video and audio are far less than my previous Panasonic Blu-ray player. I can live with the some of the aspects that make this player a lesser player compared to my previous Panasonic player and overtime imagine I will become accustomed to it. But the placement of that Netflix button has become the biggest thorn. Overall, I am honestly pleased with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DMP-BDT460 Great Player! I currently have 3 Panasonic Blu-Ray players in the house. Like my BTD220 and BDT360, this latest player exceeds my expectations. Ordering was easy and the player arrived a few days later. Installation was easy and I had the unit up and running in no time. Performance of the BDT460 is great. I have owned several different brands of Blu-Ray players over the years. Lately, I have stuck with Panasonic because they deliver great performance and they are easy to set up and use. For now, it doesn't get any better than that.

Then I started buying Panasonic products and was impressed with the quality of product and performance that exceeded the other manufacturer's quality and performance. So I am now a die-hard Panasonic fan who is very impressed with the Panasonic design, manufacturing quality, and the service that I get from the Panasonic store at Panasonic.com. As I replace other components, they will be with Panasonic products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good multi-media tool I produce quite a few AVCHD videos onto disks of dance recitals and orchestra performances. I purchased this unit to replace an LG BluRay player for two reasons: First, my son has a Panasonic that properly played an AVCHD disk that I created with PowerDirector using a menu. The LG would not play the menu properly. Second, the LG did not have good implementation of DLNA for wireless streaming of my videos from the computer to the TV. The Panasonic makes the connection (slowly) and plays the videos. The system has frozen a couple of times over the network connection. I had to unplug the power to restore functionality. Otherwise, I am quite happy with the purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I've come to expect with Panasonic First, it took two months from order to delivery with absolutely no proactive updates. Second, in any scenes that have color (i.e., non-dark/night scenes) there is color bleeding from the top left to the bottom left corner.

  • What do I do if the unit has no power?
    If the unit is not powering on, remove the power cord plug from any power strip it may be connected to and plug directly into the wall outlet.
  • What should I do if my Blu-ray player freezes or locks-up?
    If your Blu-ray player is not responding then do as follows:

    1. Unplug all cables and USB devices from the player.
    2. Unplug the power, wait about 30 seconds then reconnect.

    We recommend connecting the player (wired) to your network and attempt updating its Firmware again.
  • What can I do if I am have difficulties accessing Netflix?
    For Netflix related problems please do the following:

    1. Connect your player to your Wired / Wireless network.
    2. Check to ensure that your player is set to your current "Time Zone". The wrong "Time Zone" may cause connectivity issues. To check the Time Zone, go to "Setup" -> "Player Settings" -> "Network" -> "Network Settings" -> "Network Service Settings" -> "Time Zone".
    3. Click the [Netflix] button on your players remote to launch the Netflix application. If Netflix does not load what is the error message displayed?
    4. If you experience an error in connection do the following: "Setup" -> "Player Settings" -> "Network" -> "Network Settings" -> "IP Address/DNS Settings" -> "DNS Auto Configuration". Change this setting from "On" to "Off" then change your "Primary DNS" to and your "Secondary DNS" to
    5. Check to see if other Apps are able to be accessed. If other Apps can be accessed and Netflix is the only App not loading, this may be a Netflix issue.
  • How do I activate my Netflix account?
    Start by pressing the Netflix button on your remote or select the App showing on screen. If you do not already have an existing Netflix account you'll see an option on Netflix screen offering a free month. "Start your Free Month" should already be highlighted. Navigate to the form and Click [OK] and fill out the information as required on the screen.
