The decision to to not allow the TV functions of the remote to be programmed with a simple code to control another manufacturer's TV was unwise and shortsighted in my opinion. It's a standard feature of every remote control since the 90's, yet for some reason, this product does not allow that ability. The overall product is actually quite perfect for what I needed, but now I need to return it to the store because of the lack of that remote feature.
