Panasonic Focuses on Ongoing Innovation and Enhancements to its Broad Line of Intelligent Security and Surveillance Solutions at ISC East

Live Demos, New Technologies and More at Booth 524

Panasonic, a leading provider of integrated security and video surveillance solutions, brings its exciting array of new technologies and product enhancements to the show floor at ISC East, November 18-19 at the Javits Center in New York City.  Located at Booth 524, Panasonic will have on display its latest fully integrated, intelligent security solutions designed to capture, record, and control surveillance video while addressing trending business needs of today’s security professionals.

New Panasonic security solutions being showcased in Booth 524 include:

Smart Coding:  Live demos of Panasonic’s groundbreaking Smart Coding technology, unveiled last month, will show integrators and end users how this new technology is making video streams more efficient. Smart Coding enhances the encoding algorithm in standard H.264 video streams to yield up to a 70 percent improvement in bandwidth reduction. Available from January 2016 as a firmware upgrade to all new generation Panasonic 3, 5 and 6 Series Models, the technology effectively lessens the bandwidth demand and the amount of storage needed for surveillance video images while maintaining high picture quality and full compliance with the H.264 standard. Smart Coding technology employs a variety of advanced noise reduction processes and algorithm advancements, including Frequency Divided Filter (FDF); 3-D Multi-Process Noise Reduction (3D-MNR) and Group of Picture (GOP) Control to achieve a lower bit rate for images without degrading the captured and transmitted video stream.

4K Enhancements to Video Insight VMS and ASM200 Video Management Software:  At ISC East, Panasonic will be exhibiting 4K enhancements to both its ASM200 i-PRO® video management client and Video Insight (VI) Video Management Software (VMS) solution.  Now with 4K support for its embedded management client (ASM200) and its VMS based software management offerings from Video Insight, Panasonic can now deliver the industry’s most complete, end-to-end 4K ready solution for video surveillance image capture, recording and management.

The ASM200 embedded video management client system is a Windows®-based application that enables a centralized and scalable surveillance and control environment supporting multi-camera, multi-recorder systems from a single PC platform. Now surveillance operators can utilize 4K imaging technology end-to-end realizing a complete 4K ready capture/record/control solution. The latest enhancements to ASM200 i-PRO video management software now in version 4.0 delivers 4K Graphical User Interface (GUI) native support with cropping and 4K monitor output support—enabling more high-definition screens to be displayed simultaneously and allowing edge-to-edge 4K resolution to be displayed without zooming. ASM200 4.0 also fully supports the advanced analytics capabilities delivered by Panasonic’s i-PRO ULTRA 360-degree cameras including moving object removal, heat mapping and people counting.

In addition, the latest version of its Video Insight Video Management Software delivers a host of valuable enhancements including an improved 4K native GUI and support for all of Panasonic’s latest industry-leading 4K cameras. Available now, feature set updates to IP Server 6.2 and VI Monitor Client 6.2.12 apply new capabilities such as PTZ camera prioritization, video anti-tampering settings, motion event details per server and camera, multi-server access control and integration support. Panasonic has begun broad distribution of its VI VMS to the systems integrator channel, and is offering an unlimited camera license for select i-PRO cameras.*

Security professionals who own select Panasonic i-PRO video surveillance cameras manufactured after October 2014 are eligible for an unlimited camera license from Panasonic for use with the VI VMS.  In addition, a free, 60-day trial of the Video Insight Video Management Software is available now via a complimentary download at:
